Dear Individual, Parent, or Guardian,

I hope this correspondence finds you well. We would like to provide you with an update on the status of Keystone’s Day and Vocational Programs after receiving some further guidance from the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP).

ODP has announced that, going forward, they will use the Community Transmission Report provided by the Department of Health to determine criteria for closure of programs by county. This report reflects the percentage of people that test positive for COVID-19 out of the total of everyone tested for COVID-19 within a county.  This report is categorized into the following three ranges: Low- less than 5%, Moderate- 5% to 10%, and Substantial- greater than 10%.

In the Low range, programs may operate as they have been since the reopening. In the Moderate range, participants will be informed of the moderate risk of attending program, and the requirement that individuals use an alternative means of transportation if public transportation or multi-van share programs have been the current means of transportation. In the Substantial range, programs will be required to close until the PSR Positivity Percentage within the county drops under 10%. This report is published every Friday and programs are to check the report and plan closures or alternative transportation for the following week based upon these numbers. If programming adjustments need to be made, you will receive notification from us on Fridays.
Keystone will begin to schedule and hold team meetings to discuss backup plans for transportation and alternative services which can continue to be provided in the event that programs are required to close. We remain committed to offering alternative activities to traditional CPS services.   We offer and will continue to provide both in-home and remote CPS.  If you would like to participate in one or both of these alternative services, please contact your program case manager. We look forward to hearing from you and will continue to share any updates relevant to these matters.

Respectfully Submitted,

Stan Chotkowski
